Meet Kevin D. Moore

My perspective is shaped by 28 years of military service, extensive federal executive leadership experience, and a career dedicated to helping people and organizations navigate challenges, embrace change, and achieve meaningful results.
Today, through Knowledge Driven & Moore, LLC (KDM), I bring that experience to speaking, leadership development, consulting, and organizational transformation—helping leaders turn knowledge into action and differences into strengths.
My Leadership Journey
My leadership journey spans more than 43 years of experience and 44 years of service to our country. Throughout my military and federal civilian careers, I have learned that effective leadership is not defined by a title, position, or rank. It is demonstrated through the ability to build trust, develop people, establish shared purpose, and achieve meaningful results.
As a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, I developed a leadership foundation built on integrity, accountability, teamwork, and service.
My federal civilian career expanded that foundation into executive leadership, organizational transformation, and information technology. I served in positions including Chief Information Officer and Director of Transformation, leading organizations of approximately 400 personnel, managing a $64 million annual IT budget, and overseeing $300 million in IT capital investments.
As Deputy Program Director for the Army's Logistics Modernization Program, then valued at approximately $700 million, I helped lead efforts to modernize logistics business processes and their supporting technologies.
Beyond these responsibilities, living in Europe for 14 years strengthened my understanding of cultural differences and the importance of bringing people with diverse backgrounds and perspectives together.
My commitment to understanding people also extends to writing and public communication. I authored Did You Ever Wonder Why Black People Do the Things They Do?, appeared on 60 radio shows across the United States and Canada, and wrote numerous articles exploring leadership and diversity.
Today, as President of Knowledge Driven & Moore, LLC, I bring these experiences together to help organizations strengthen leadership, improve business performance, embrace change, and align technology with organizational goals.
